Save the Children UK
This International Non Governmental Organization is one of the closest partners that has supported the government of Southern Sudan in many aspects. It was active, supporting communities especially women and cildren during the war. And now it has come up as one of the strongest partners in the field of reconstruction and development.
Many of its progams are desgined to save children and mothers. But Nontheless, SC-UK is an active organization in the fields of Rural Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene Development. It was through the help of this agency that a premises was consructed with semi permanent structures to support our MIS/DATABASE. SC-UK had also sponsoed a consultant which helped the ministry to develop its Southern Sudan Water Policy; the first of its kind in the history of Suothern Sudan in particular and Sudan at large.

Objective
to increase access to safe drinking water, improved sanitation and hygiene knowledge and to build capacities for sustainable regulation, management and utilization of the services in all the rural population of Southern Sudan by 2025.
Strategies
- Undertake awareness raising/sensitization on collective approach to development.
- Promote community-based monitoring and evaluation systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
